Projects

The Aragonese Aeronautical Association (AERA) is an Innovative Business Group (AEI) recognised by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism since 2008, in accordance with the definition established in Article 3 of Order IET/1444/2014, which describes an AEI as the combination, in a geographical area or productive sector, of companies, research centres and public or private training entities involved in a collaborative exchange process aimed at generating competitive advantages through the implementation of joint innovative projects.

Founded in 2007, AERA was the first sectoral cluster established in Aragon. It is a non-profit association that brings together companies and public and private entities linked to the aeronautical, aerospace and defence industry in Aragon, as well as centres for knowledge generation and transfer. The association mainly comprises small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), manufacturers of aerostructures and components for the auxiliary industry, telecommunications companies, technology centres and universities, among other key players in the ecosystem.
